(Tri-State Chinese-American

David Zhao.
Andrew Wu Dennis Xuan David Zhao
Andrew是national merit semifinalist and AP scholar得主。
Tri-State Chinese American Chemical Society awards Young Chemist Awards every year to outstanding high school students to cultivate their interests in Chemistry and Science in general among Chinese-American youth in the greater tri-state area. This year, the CACS Young Chemist Awards go to Andrew Wu from Pennsylvania, Dennis Xuan and David Zhao from New Jersey. The three will receive their awards that include a certificate and a cash prize at the upcoming CACS Chinese New Year Party on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
Andrew Wu, currently a senior at Hatboro-Horsham High School of Pennsylvania, was attracted to chemistry in a young age by attending chemistry programs offered by his parents’ companies. He is a straight A student and ranks at the top in his class. Andrew is a National Merit Semifinalist and AP scholar with honor. He is the founder and president of a Science Club in his school. He has traveled across the country to participate and won a variety of individual and team competitions. As stated in one of his recommendation letters, “his accomplishments are truly without precedent”. Besides academic achievements, Andrew is also an outstanding tennis player and helped his team to a 2nd place finish in Boys’ Varsity Tennis.
Dennis Xuan, currently a senior at Watchung Hills Regional High School, has a very impressive academic record. He has started taking AP courses since his sophomore year. He finished his AP chemistry course with a straight A before his junior year in high school. He demonstrated strong interest in chemistry and volunteered to work in Dr. Joseph L. Dixon’s Chemistry lab at Rutgers. He scored a perfect 800 in SAT II in chemistry. Dennis also ranked in the top 10% at Watchung Hills Regional High School. He has been on the honor roll since his freshman year in high school. His other extra curriculum activities included Varsity Fencing, Lego Robotics, and Piano. Dennis also volunteers at Somerset Adult Day Center.
David Zhao is a junior at Montgomery High School. He has been fascinated by chemistry from a young age. He already took SAT II chemistry before taking SAT and got the perfect 800 score; he received a score of 5 in AP chemistry, a college level chemistry course in his sophomore year in high school. In addition, he also obtained perfect scores in AP Calculus, SAT II math, and SAT II Chinese. David is a member of the Montgomery Science Olympiad Team and won many individual and team medals in the central regional and New Jersey state competitions. One of his teachers wrote in his recommendation letter “David has already compiled an impressive academic record and is a student who has a bright future in the sciences”.
把世界最具名望的著名专利专家请到中国北京谈专利的改革,谈专利的进展,谈专利的动向,让国内的专利届人士收益;
